I started out in Permanent Makeup wanting to be my own boss! I worked for MAC Cosmetics at the time and wanted to leave retail life from the long hours, weekend work days, limited vacations and time off to spend with my daughter.
Once I made the leap of faith, I left my full time job and start a new career
being co owner to an amazing beauty business, Bella Bonita Beauty. I was SCARED! Clientele in the beginning was scarce. Consultations began as a way for me to introduce my services, our business and get to personally know my potential clients. I felt SO nervous talking about pricing to everyone that I would cringe and stutter. Well, that made me appear as not being confident in my work. Something need to change FAST!
I then began to dive deeper. What made my potential clients interested in these services? I then knew I needed to be on a more personal level than a sales person with my clients. This service would potentially make them FEEL better about themselves and I LOVED the fact of helping them look and feel beautiful. I figured out their “WHY” and grew on that. By the end of the consultation, I never mentioned price because the “VALUE” of the service over exceeded the need to be nervous introducing pricing which eventually led to successful bookings!
